The Endeavour Club provides a safe environment for young people to enjoy many activities.

Located in Morden South West London, the club is highly respected and recognised building in the local community, many local residents have been members themselves or have family and friends that have made use of the clubs many activities.

Our history

The Endeavour Club was originally established as a boys club in a purpose built youth centre building in March 1951 with the financial support of a local philanthropist whose brother Kenneth Black (below) had died tragically in a sea scouting accident.

The Trust deed was in fact signed in l946 but the club was not actually opened until the later date. The aim of the original Trust was to promote the “social, moral and physical well being, of boys, especially boys in poor circumstances, resident in the neighbourhood of Merton and Morden in the County of Surrey, by the provision of facilities for social and physical training and recreation”.

This has been achieved over the years through a wide ranging programme of activity based youth work, designed to assist in the personal development of the young people between the ages of 9-18 so that each may realise his or her full potential.” Since the mid eighties the Club has worked with girls as well which has broadened the programme of the Club, and the Trust Deed has been amended to reflect the mixed gender of the Club.

The club is funded through support from Charitable Trusts, donations and fund raising.
